Dusk Claymore is a heavy two-handed weapon, and Link swings it slower than one-handed melee weapons or strikes delivered with a two-handed spear. While you should be wary of your defenses with slower attacks and the inability to use a shield, the Dusk Claymore will typically deal greater damage per hit than the average one-handed melee weapon.

Since the Dusk Claymore is a metal weapon, the weapon will attract or amplify environmental lightning and incoming lightning attacks. However, unlike wooden weapons the Dusk Claymore is protected from fire elemental damage and will not burn when subjected to fire.

Dusk Claymore has a Guard Break Power of 10 and a range of 1.8. This weapon deals Cut damage upon impact with an enemy or object. Cut damage can specifically bisect many environmental objects while Blunt damage shatters structures such as cracked rock.

This weapon can alter the state of your shield when fused with it. Fusing the Dusk Claymore to a shield will grant more shield surfing friction and enable a shield bash attack.
