Ubisoft’s E3 2019 press briefing wound up having its share of surprising announcements. Of these, one of the most exciting is a new, free-to-play sports title called Roller Champions. This is a team PvP game wherein two teams of three compete to complete a full lap around the arena with ball in hand. If they can do this, they’ll get the chance to toss the ball through an illuminated hoop to score a point; the first team to five points wins.
As they grow in experience and skill, Roller Champions player will gain fans and graduate to larger and larger arenas, unlocking gear and customization options along the way. The full game won’t be out for awhile yet, but Uplay users can jump into a free demo available through the service for the next four days. Everyone else will just have to wait until the actual release sometime in 2020.
