The first Dead or Alive game to hit the PC came as a bit of a disappointment, launching without its key component: online functionality. While that's undoubtedly the most unfortunate part, the graphical transition has fortunately held up.

The PC version isn't a significant overhaul over its console counterpart, though. It does offer more flexible resolutions, going as high as 3840 x 2160, and adjustable shadow resolutions. The shadows seem to be softer on the PlayStation 4, while the PC offers darker blacks but doesn't blend in as well. As far as we can tell, the PS4's shadow resolution is roughly 2048x2048. Oddly enough, the new character Raidou has worse shadowing on PC, with his scrapped up jacket represented as a hard edged shadow with no definition (as seen in the third comparison shot).

The PC release actually has the ability to produce anti-aliasing, which is an incredible benefit considered how noticeably lacking it was on the PlayStation 4. Textures are also marginally better, at least in specific environments. There are some textures that are slightly high-res, but these are very few with the character models being more or less the same. Overall, for a three year old game, the visuals in Dead or Alive 5 Last Round for PC do a decent job conveying the voluptuous cast of characters. It won't blow anyone's socks off, and in some cases actually favors the PlayStation 4, but if you're exclusively PC, these are fine enough.

On the left are screenshots taken from the PC version maxed out at 1080p, with the PS4 on the right:

As an added bonus, here's what the different shadow resolution appear as. First is 4096x4096, second is 2048x2048, third is 1028x1028 and the fourth is shadows turned off completely.
