The Vita offers a console quality experience on a portable device. Unfortunately, its speakers are lacking. While the sound is comparable to other handhelds, it doesn't measure up to the Vita's visuals.

Sound is no longer a concern when you pop in quality earbuds or headphones, however. The Vita produces some of the best sound we've heard from a handheld through earphones. Try it. You won't want to go back to its internal speakers, especially once you experience Lumines or Wipeout.
