If you're a fan of all things Smash Bros., then it's likely that the forthcoming installment in the coveted franchise has had your attention for quite some time. While it's been public knowledge that Nintendo has been hard at work on the latest entry, working alongside Namco Bandai, it's been unclear what the actual game will look and play like. We've probably been able to deduce that there will be plenty of roll spamming, B-move attacks and enemy launching, but outside of the core elements present in most other games in the series, gamers have been left wondering what all the title will entail.

Fortunately, and after much anticipation, series designer Masahiro Sakurai announced this via Twitter today

I should note: In the Nintendo Direct scheduled for 11 p.m. on June 11, a new video of Smash Bros. will be unveiled for the first time. [It will be shown] simultaneously worldwide, here for the first time! Don’t miss it.

So there you have it, ladies and gentlemen. It looks like Nintendo is coming out swinging this year, despite not having a traditional, formal E3 conference. It would seem that the company's Nintendo Direct will be filled with all sorts of Big N goodness, so here's hoping this is just the tip of the iceberg.
