There's real, and then there's hallucinating bloody scars appearing on your body during a Ryse: Son of Rome session. I'm not sure what message Microsoft is trying to convey, but if a new Xbox One feature set includes a "self mutilation" DLC pack, I don't know if I'm ready for that kind of immersive gaming.

In a new trailer, Microsoft boasts about the Xbox One's realism. Instead of discussing its capabilities, features, potential power or the infamous cloud, we're shown a mentally distressed man hallucinating, sweating profusely and freaking out a bit during a quick bout of gaming. It doesn't appear as if he's having much fun, either.

"If it were any more real, it would be real."

It's an interesting advertisement, but it does little in the way of convincing newcomers to join team Xbox -- unless you'd like to believe that Kinect is somehow capable of slicing your body when you miss a prompt in-game.
