Three and a half years ago, Persona 4 was unleashed onto the market. A rather risky time to release a last generation game considering it was the same year that Grand Theft Auto IV, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Dead Space were released, just to name a few game changers. Still, three years already into the new cycle, Persona 4 was one of the best games of 2008, offering an enjoyable storyline filled with memorable characters and events. Well Persona fans rejoice as Atlus USA announced today that they will be bringing over the Persona 4 rework, announced back in August, to North America this fall.

If you’re unfamiliar with Persona 4 Golden, it is a reworking of Persona 4 for the Playstation Vita with advanced visuals and a wave of new content. This content includes more voiced dialogue, new personas, new story events, and even an online rescue feature where you can call upon players to help you with a dungeon. I for one am incredibly pumped for this. There is very little buzz on the Playstation Vita as of late, so here’s hoping Persona 4 will spark a new flock of investors to Sony’s impressive handheld. I know I am considering it.
