The latest Pokémon game has just come out and the fanbase is going crazy over two things: the unfortunate technical issues and the open world. The progression in Pokémon is no longer linear as players are able to traverse in more dangerous territories and potentially level up their Pokémon in a much faster manner. This means you'll be able to chart your own course and deal with the campaign how you see fit. Being that this is a massive world to explore, we wanted to give a small outlook in which players can better plan ahead, namely a map detailing the level of gym leaders, Team Star commanders and legendary Titan Pokémon that will offer great challenge. We're avoiding labeling names for spoiler purposes.

Being that you start basically at the bottom of the map, the Gym unofficial order for "Victory Road" goes as follows:

  • Level 15 Bug Gym (Southwest)
  • Level 17 Grass Gym (Southeast)
  • Level 24  Electric Gym (East)
  • Level 30 Water Gym (West)
  • Level 36 Normal Gym (Northwest)
  • Level 42 Ghost Gym (North)
  • Level 45 Psychic Gym (Southwest)
  • Level 48 Ice Gym (Northeast)

As for the Team Star members, "Starfall Street" are spread out a little differently, although there are only five of them:

  • Level 21 Dark (West)
  • Level 27 Fire (East)
  • Level 33 Poison (Northeast)
  • Level 51 Fairy (North)
  • Level 56 Fighting (Northeast)

Finally, there are the five power Pokémon for the "Path of Legends":

  • Level 16 Rock Legend (Southeast)
  • Level 19 Flying Legend (West)
  • Level 28 Steel Legend (East)
  • Level 44 Ground Legend (West)
  • Level 55 Dragon Legend (Northwest)

Suffice to say, while you're able to progress through the story on your own free will, it's best to start southwest and southwest and continue north. Here's a map to better illustrate it:
