Today, on Japan’s official Pokemon Youtube Channel, the world was given the first glimpse at the next exciting entry in the Pokemon motion picture franchise with a teaser trailer for Pokemon The Movie XY 2015.
While the current tentative title might be a bit direct, the content of the trailer curiously showcases the legendary Pokemon Mega Kyogan, Mega Groudon, and Mega Rayquaza of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire rather than Xerneas and Yveltal from Pokemon XY. The three legendary behemoths aggressively circle toward each other off the side of a volcano-laden rocky coast and appear ready to battle. Suddenly, the three beasts are met with surprise, as an even greater force in what resembles a wormhole generated from a ring renders them stunned.
According to the trailer, Pokemon The Movie XY 2015 is scheduled for release in Japanese theaters on July 18, 2015. Unsurprisingly, Kunihiko Yuyama, director of the Pokemon series and previous Pokemon movies, will be returning yet again for this adaptation.
