Even though E3 is still three months away, it seems by the time it rolls around, every event will have already occurred. With the Sony event having happened last week, the expected next Xbox reveal to be in April and many games being leaked or announced early, it looks like Nintendo has something in store for us in March -- literally.

Nintendo World, the company's mega store in New York, has a calendar listing upcoming events to be held at the store. While many of these are game-specific events, such as "Fire Emblem Friday" or "Pokemon Trainer Sunday", a mysterious event dubbed "Special Nintendo 3DS Event" has popped up on March 23rd. As there's events with names well into 2013 and the calendar includes non-store specifics like game releases, its inclusion could signal a big announcement to be made at the store or directly impacting the store -- like a new console design or games. Of course, it could turn out to be "Free Catrap Day".
