That's right, ladies and gentlemen, what was once thought unlikely, is now happening. CAVE, makers of all things SHMUP-related, have released their famed genre of games in copious amounts on the 360. The system is a gold mine for fans of scrolling shooters, and yet, it would seem that most of these games never leave Japan, and yet are 360 exclusives. As one can imagine, games for 360 don't do all that well in Japan. Thus, when the G.rev SHMUP, Under Defeat HD, came to the PlayStation 3 at the end of last year, fans were shocked and delighted at the improbability of it all, though most thought this was a once-in-a-lifetime type thing. Today, however, proves that notion wrong.

One of CAVE's most illustrious shooters is a little gem by the name of Ketsui: Kizuna Jigoku Tachi. The game was originally released in arcades back in 2003, and then re-released on 360 just a few years ago, but it was also just announced, in the latest Weekly Famitsu, that 5pb will bring the game to PS3 on July 25. There's been no word of a release outside of Japan, but that doesn't matter seeing as the PlayStation 3 is a region-free system and the fact that these games require literally no knowledge of the Japanese language to enjoy -- it's all about blowing up stuff! The game will reportedly retail for ¥ 7,140, which roughly equates to $75. Be prepared, SHMUP fans... Be prepared
