We know how it is. You worked hard for your 10:1 KDR, but sometimes, you just want to take five, relax and enjoy a quick game on your phone. Unfortunately, finding good games is anything but quick – most mobile gems end up buried under a mountain of trash. But like we said, we know how it is, so every month we shine a spotlight on a great diversion to get you through the work week.

Puzzle games are great at making you feel productive even if you haven't left your bed in hours. So this month we're bringing you Transmission, a puzzle game about connecting networks to communicate more and more amounts of information.

That's actually the premise of the game. You're constantly trying to connect telegraph, telephone and even satellite networks to communicate more and more information from level to level. To sound even more technical, the game incorporates transmitters and receivers in each puzzle. Transmitters are where you'll start as they send information to transceivers to be furthered transmitted to receivers. Receivers can't send information and will be where that specific connection ends.

This being a puzzle game it can't be that easy throughout the game. To make things difficult sometimes Transceivers will need to receive information from more than one transmitter or another transceiver. There are also other mechanics involved called looping, using Antennas, signal types, swappers and some more things to properly confuse you the further you make it.

What puzzle game would be complete without the standard three objectives to compete per level? There's the standard complete the level for one and the other more common objective will be to leave excess information on the denoted transceiver. The last objective will alternate between using a specific amount signals or not crossing signals en route to completing the level.

Collecting these stars will allow you to progress from network to network and you'll all 146 to unlock the very last area. You'll also need to at least beat every level to unlock the second to last level so there's your incentive to complete each one though you can skip a few throughout.

Transmission is one of the most interesting puzzle games out there due to all of the different ways to approach each level. Some will leave you absolutely confused as you try to figure out how to make these connections in such a way that you can actually put information everywhere. When you finally do figure them out you'll then have to somehow do it to complete the latter objectives making each level more and more complex in a good way.

If you want to play Transmission you can download it here for Android and here for iOS.
