ARMS is the latest original idea from Nintendo. It's a fun title and great time thanks to a colorful cast of competitors, advanced uses of the Switch motion control and non-stop action online. While everything is going well so far, perhaps there is something more to include. There have been no signs of any cameo appearances confirmed for the title which is why we've come up with a list of Nintendo characters that would be fun to throw into the mix. ARMS is going to have additional fighters following release, so maybe we'll see one of the following!

Lanky Kong

This Kong might have a funny face and relatively no grace, but he sure has reach. Lanky Kong made his first appearance in Donkey Kong 64 as a playable character. He could attack enemies from further distances with a "baroomchi" punch. He even made a more recent showing in Donkey Kong Barrel Blast racing around with a jetpack. In ARMS, fighters might be on entirely opposite sides of the stage and have to throw punches from a distance. Combining his physical attributes with a jetpack would make Lanky a great addition to the roster. He'd naturally be able to deliver a knock out punch and even boost circles around opponents. Doing handstands when he needs to or inflating like a balloon are also a pretty unique features for folks to monkey around with in a match. There is so much fun to be had with Lanky Kong on the roster.

Little Mac

He is the classic boxing character from Nintendo's long lineage of games and definitely the most likely to win a few rounds in ARMS. His humble beginnings came in 1994's Punch-Out!! for the NES, he starred in a remake for the Wii and made a surprise appearance as a contender in the Super Smash Bros. series. As a seasoned fighter, Little Mac would certainly feel comfortable in ARMS. While he only possesses human arms it would be a challenge to face off with those stretchy strikes. It would make much more sense for Little Mac to retain that look and use his skills to an advantage. The closer he is to an opponent, the more powerful his hits would be. He's pretty speedy as well and could dodge with ease! While there isn't much of a chance Little Mac would be included, the idea is very interesting. We would also love to see and hear Doc Louis cheering him on, especially during training sessions!

Bowser Jr.

Bowser's kid has come a long ways since raising a ruckus in Super Mario Sunshine. After showing off a bit of punching skills in the latest Super Smash Bros. game, Bowser Jr. could prove to be a worthy fighter in the world of ARMS. His Koopa Clown Car comes equipped with a pair of boxing gloves which means it's perfect for a fighting game. Just sitting inside and being able to control both the vehicle and arms gives him an advantage. Higher defense and quite the reach makes him a great tank. Movements would be similar to Mechanica who is also inside of a machine. Bowser Jr. even has the perfect look for a game like this. His colorful features and cartoonish behavior is very fitting. Adding Bowser Jr. to the roster in ARMS most likely won't become a reality but he is certainly a top contender. We're just wondering now how old one has to be in order to compete.

Hitmonchan

While technically a property of the Pokémon Company International, Pokémon characters are basically Nintendo characters as well. The two go hand in hand. Well, fist in fist for this case. Hitmonchan is a classic Pokémon from the first generation and has been pretty popular since then. They have boxing gloves on all the time which means they are always ready to throw down. In ARMS, Hitmonchan would feel at home with the various arm attachments. Using Sparky would be similar to Thunder Punch and Toaster would act like Fire Punch. Again, with a shortened range similar to Little Mac, Hitmonchan would definitely have to pack more power. Hitmonchan's counterpart, Hitmonlee, would have been a fun addition...if only there was a way for them to move around while kicking at the same time. They have stretchy legs which would help, perhaps whenever the sequel LEGS is announced.

Majora's Wrath

The world of ARMS has about a dozen or so characters with more on the way. There is only one that happens to be inherently evil, however, which is why Majora's Wrath lands on this list. There needs to be more baddies on the roster and Majora's Wrath fits the mold perfectly. It has quite the reach with long, whipping appendages and in Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, it really wants to take Link down. Majora's Wrath even looks cool which, if given a little ARMS art style, will fit right in. Still wouldn't be as scary looking as Helix though. Thanks to its physical attributes it is built to strike and grab with ease. It also makes it unique in fighting with something other than arms like Twintelle using her hair. Majora's Wrath seems to be a pretty well rounded character to give the ARMS world something else to fear!

The entire Nintendo universe certainly has plenty more characters that could be included in the game. Comment below with anyone or anything you would like to see put up a fight.
