The new year has only just begun, but European inklings have already fought for their beliefs in the first Splatfest of 2016. Team Fit and Team Rich clashed yesterday in 24 hours of closely-contested Turf Wars, but in the end Team Fit walked away with the bragging rights. Team Rich was more popular, snagging 56% of the votes, but Team Fit made up for its smaller numbers with a more prolific squad of squids, finishing with a 53% win rate in comparison to Team Rich's 47%.

Nintendo has yet to announce the next Splatfests for the North American or Japanese regions, but we'll let you know when it does.
