Developer Nevermind has announced the launch of its Kickstarter campaign for Little Legend.

The 2D side-scrolling open-world adventure title has a $35,000 target set on the crowdfunding platform.

According to Nevermind, there will be a beta held in Q1 2020 for PC users.

Little Legend will arrive on Nintendo Switch and PC in Q4 2020, while the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are slated to launch in Q1 2021.

Players take control of Pimpim, a teenage waitress who lives with her adoptive grandfather on an isolated island. Pimpim, however, has supernatural powers that allow her to “control some forces” of nature.

She sets off on a journey to the Grand Continent in order to find the answers surrounding her past.

“Currently, we are four members working on the game,” Nevermind said. “To speed up the production, we will need a larger team.

“The money raised will give us the opportunity to create a game that lives up to our ambitions with higher sprites and animation quality.

“Finally, this campaign will give us a first glimpse at the public reception and will allow us to engage with players involved in the beta.”
