2K has created a new development studio called Hangar 13, and they'll be headed up by Haden Blackman.

The new studio is currently located at the 2K headquarters in the San Francisco Bay area and they're already working on a new unannounced title.

You might remember Blackman from LucasArts Entertainment, where he was a writer, franchise director, and senior executive producer for the Star Wars games; titles like KOTOR and The Force Unleashed. Later he went on to co-found "Fearless Studio" and it was acquired by Kabam.

"At Hangar 13, our mantra is 'Every player story is unique,'" said Blackman. "Our ambition is to create next-generation games that allow players to shape their own experiences, from the moment-to-moment gameplay, to the long-term impact on the world, characters and narrative. To realize this goal, we're building proprietary technology and assembling a core team passionate about delivering mature experiences loaded with meaningful choices."

Hangar 13 is apparently hiring as well, as there are 18 open positions according to their careers page. So if you're interested in working in the video game industry and, as they put it, "help shape the future of gaming..." you can check out this link for more information.
