Metro Exodus has sold "in line with management's expectations" publisher THQ Nordic stated today during the company's latest Q&A with investors. Though the game -- following on from its positive reception from critics prior to release -- has already made back its development costs and is now in profit, THQ Nordic delved a little deeper into the nature of 4A Games' latest entry in the Metro series, so far as the platform distribution of sales went. Confirming that an "absolute majority" of sales were on consoles, both PS4 and Xbox One, but stopping short at providing information as to how well the game faired on PC.

You may remember that mere weeks before release, it was announced that Metro Exodus would become an Epic Games Store exclusive on PC, despite it previously been marketed on Valve's own store, Steam. Though pre-orders prior to the announcement were fulfilled, the game was immediately pulled from Steam -- Metro Exodus then tied to the Epic Games Store via a one-year exclusivity deal. How big an impact the game's exclusivity held on the sales of the PC iteration, is unknown, though THQ Nordic did state that sales of Metro Exodus overall resulted in one of the publisher's biggest hits and that the company is generally happy with the game's performance since launch last February.
