Hot on the heels of Tokyo Game Show, Koei Tecmo and Gust have dropped a new story trailer for Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness and the Secret Hideout. It seems Ryza’s island home of Kurken isn’t quite as ordinary as she thinks; there’s a mystery lurking beneath its beaches just waiting to be discovered, and Ryza’s crew of quirky friends might just be the ones fated to find it.

Gust has also released new information about Atelier Ryza’s “Secret Hideout” system. Ryza’s secret hideout will serve as players’ base of operations over the course of the game. It is here that they can synthesize new items, create new lands to gather ingredients and forge weaponry. Fans can even configure the secret hideout to their liking, granting their party increased stats depending on how it’s set up. Sounds like a great way to better optimize one’s play-style, eh?

Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness and the Secret Hideout launches for PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on October 29.
