Age of Empires IV launched in October and had recently received a patch that focuses on early bugs and performance improvements. This included addressing issues with Xbox account linking and Mongol Town Center behavior. This small patch was just the first update and a small taste of what's to come. Winter 2021 will include in-game balance updates along with the ability to view in-game player scores, Chinese Dynasty UI updates and more.

The next update that is due in Spring 2022 will see the much anticipated user creation content tool. The ability to create and share maps, modes and more will add even more depth to the game. Ranked Seasons will also be introduced in the Spring, with more updates to the AI and other improvements. You can read the full blog post here and check out our review of Age of Empires IV here.
