With the third annual Anime Ascension event having come to a close, Aksys Games has announced the winners for each of the four featured games at the weekend-long show. This year, the featured tournaments centered around BlazBlue Central Fiction, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st] and Dragon Ball FighterZ.
Aksys Games announced not only the winners, but also the following seven runners-up, stating that they wanted to acknowledge all those who performed well in the tournaments.

Anime Ascension has been held at the UC Irvine Student Center in Irvine, CA for the past three years. Those interested in learning more about the event can find everything they need at the event's official website.
While the fighting game circuit may seem all but impenetrable to those on the outside, it's not as bad as it used to be. Games like Dragon Ball FighterZ and Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 are making the genre much more accessible than it used to be.
