Back in May of last year, Remedy Entertainment was forced to remove the Xbox 360 and PC title Alan Wake and its sequel, subtitled American Nightmare, from both digital and physical retailers due to music licensing issues.

Today, Remedy shared the exciting news via Twitter that both entries in the third-person adventure series would be returning to Steam and other PC digital retailers with no changes from their original release, thanks to some additional help from Microsoft in restoring the rights to the game’s licensed soundtrack. The studio additionally confirmed that both titles would eventually return to the Xbox Live marketplace, with no specific timetable other than “very soon.”
