As if Alien: Isolation wasn't hard enough, the developers added a nightmare difficulty setting, The Creative Assembly announced on Dec. 10. The new difficulty will feature a more aggressive Alien, a slightly broken motion tracker, limited resources and no map whatsoever. Calling the mode "the ultimate Alien experience," The Creative Assembly has released this update for free across all available platforms.

On the other end of the spectrum, Alien: Isolation will now feature a novice mode, for all those (scrubs) complaining of the game's difficulty. More resources, friendlier, more-forgetful Alien and weaker other enemies will give players an easy ride through one of the toughest games of the generation.
