In a rare showing, Valve responded publicly to the recent drama surrounding the Steam storefront such as the whole erotic video game debacle as well as the Active Shooter situation.

So what is Valve doing form here on out? They will generally quit trying to police games to match their vision or ideals. Instead, they will let any game onto the storefront as long as it does not present illegal content or is "straight up trolling."

It's unknown yet how Valve will enforce the latter, pretty open-ended restriction of "trolling." Along the way, Valve will allow users to further control what they see on their store - but those features are still in development.
