AMD is releasing its newest processor that it revealed at CES 2022 on April 20. Touting it as the best 1080p gaming processor on the market, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D will be the first processor to feature AMD 3D V-Cache Technology. This will retail for $449 at retailers. AMD is also adding new desktop processors to expand its line and streamline the upgrade path to Zen 3. The latest Ryzen 5000 processors will be backwards compatible with AMD X370, B350 and A320 system boards.

The headline of the updated processors comes in the form of the Ryzen 7 5700X that offers 8 cores and 16 threads. The base frequency of this processor clocks in at 3.4 GHz while the boost comes in at 4.6 Ghz. This will retail for $299 and should start rolling out April 4. The other processors announced are the Ryzen 5 5600, 5500, 4600G with integrated graphics, and the 4500. AMD will also release a Ryzen 3 4100.
