NVIDIA had announced its new line of SUPER cards this week with the 2060, 2070 and 2080 SUPER. This was partially meant to combat AMD's new 5700 series cards that were announced during E3 2019. AMD has fired back by reducing the pricing on its new cards by $50. Although these cards are aimed to compete with the lower end 2060 and 2070, the price difference might not be enough to justify the purchase. AMD still offers the Radeon VII, which was meant to directly compete with the 2080, but lacks the performance for the price. The RX 5700 XT will launch for $399 and the RX 5700 at $349. The Anniversary Edition RX 5700 XT will also drop to $449. These cards are aiming for high frame rates at either 1080p or 1440p resolution.
