American Cover Art For Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- To Be Censored

Fans of the Guilty Gear series were met with some disappointing news today. After a brief comparison between the Japanese and North American cover art for the upcoming Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-, American¬†internet users were quick to notice that their version of the title would be gracing them with slightly less “fan service.”

While at first both covers appear to be identical, a careful eye can find that a particular set of, um, fleshy mounds is concealed by a bit more clothing than its Asian counterpart. There is no word on whether any in-game models have been changed, but this is certainly worrying for those that enjoy slivers of chest.

On a brighter note, pre-order bonus sets were also announced for the game’s Japanese release. Bonus items will vary depending on the store holding the reservation. For example, Japanese video store Geo is offering a clear folder with some of the game’s artwork, and online hobby shop Amiami is throwing in a free mouse pad. More details and images can be found on the games official website.
