The Sims is one of the most beloved PC franchises ever released.  Will Wright's creation allows players to live the lives of a group of people they create.  EA and Maxis Studios have been consistently releasing expansion packs for The Sims 3, but its time for something new.  That something is The Sims 4, which now has a solid release window.

Players can get back into the world of their Sims in Autumn 2014.  The Sims 4 will feature powerful new creative tools, all-new Sims with enhanced emotion and intelligence and the ability to control the mind, body and heart of their Sims.  Overall, this will be the ultimate way to play with life.

“The Sims franchise has the best fans in the world and their passion and enthusiasm is at an all-time high,” said Rachel Franklin, VP and General Manager of The Sims Studio. “Those millions of voices will fuel our development process, helping The Sims 4 to be the most ambitious and the best game our studio has ever made. We can’t wait to see our fans reaction when The Sims 4 comes out in Autumn 2014.”

Its been four years since The Sims 3 launched on PC, but the game has barely slowed down.  Millions of people continue to play the game, a testament to the hours of fun the game provides.  The Sims 3 also launched on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and 3DS.  It is unknown if The Sims 4 will also be launching on consoles.

The Sims 4 is out Autumn 2014 exclusively on PC and Mac.
