Norwegian games developer Antagonist, together with publisher 1C Company, have shown off the first official trailer to their upcoming third-person horror title, Through The Woods. Set in a forest on the western shores of Norway -- influenced by the studio's own imaginative experiences as children -- the game tells the story of a mother searching desperately for her missing son. Through what the studio describes as "reactive narration", the player experiences the main character’s re-telling of the events surrounding her son’s disappearance in both past and present story-telling.

With direct influence and reference to classic Norse mythology and folk tales, Antagonist promise to deliver a game that offers greater emphasis on the contrast of light and dark to stir up some deceptive imagery and environments -- furthering the game's main themes of loss and loneliness. Check out the game's official trailer below and catch Through The Woods when it releases this October on PC.
