PC title Papers, Please made its way to iPad earlier this week, and fans of the original probably noticed decidedly less nudity in this version of the game. There was a gameplay feature where you need to search the body of travelers when deciding if you will admit them or not, a process that depicted some pixelated naughty bits. Apple, being comprised entirely of 17th century noblewomen, rejected this build of Papers, Please on the grounds it was giving them the vapors and classified it as containing "pornographic content." A censored build was released, something that did not sit well with many fans of the original title.

Fortunately, through a series of tweets the game's developer Lucas Pope revealed the whole thing was some sort of misunderstanding and that the full version of the game would likely be hitting the iPad before too long. According to Pope:

"Just talked to Apple. The initial rejection for porn was a misunderstanding on their part. They suggested I resubmit with the nudity option. I'll make an update to restore the nudity over the weekend (default to off) and it should be available next week."

So it looks like iPad owners will get an uncensored version of the game sooner rather than later. It is disappointing Apple took such an unfortunate stance in the first place, but they claim it was a result of an error on their part and not intentional censorship. Regardless of how they came to this decision, at least they finally made the right one.
