The popular sandbox survival game ARK: Survival Evolved is officially coming to Nintendo Switch.

Word comes by way of GDC, where Epic Games hosted their "State of Unreal" keynote. During the presentation, they announced that Survival Evolve will launch on Switch in both digital and retail forms this Fall. The Switch version of the game will include the entire original game, fully-featured with no drawbacks. It is being co-developed by Studio Wildcard and Abstraction games. Studio Wildcard and their Lead Designer/Programmer, Development Director, and Co-Creative Director Jeremy Stieglitz are very excited about the project.

"The Switch’s handheld mode provides a fantastic new capability for survivors who want to fully immerse themselves in the vast worlds of ARK," said Stieglitz. "With this new version, Switch players can go directly from hunting and taming while sitting on the couch, to forming online tribes and searching out new conquests when on the bus, waiting in line, or wherever they happen to be."

A mobile version of the game is also on its way, they announced at GDC. It is in closed beta currently for iOS, so keep your eye out for an open beta and it's eventual release.
