Indie developer Studio Wildcard, the people behind Steam Early Access dinosaur-themed survival game ARK: Survival Evolved, will host “The Last Stand Bonus Round” tournament to settle a questionable referee call in last weekend’s ARK: Survival of the Fittest tournament. As a means of acknowledging the sketchy nature of the call, all contestants and streamers from the finale game last week are invited back to a mini-Championship with additional cash prizes. The tournament was meant originally to bring popular streamers and fans together to show off the newest game mode in ARK: Survival Evolved and build hype for the Early Access game, while featuring real cash prizes.
The mini-Championship will be a four hour session with 240 players. Teams, or tribes, will compete for the top cash prizes listed below:
“The Last Stand Bonus Round” Championship prizing includes:
● First Place Winning Tribe receives: $12,000 (split among Winning Tribe)
● Second Place Winning Tribe receives: $6,000 (split among Winning Tribe)
● Third Place Winning Tribe receives: $2,400 (split among Winning Tribe)
● All three Winning Tribes will receive an in-game ‘Last Stand Bonus Round’ Gold/ Silver/Bronze Trophy Structure Skin, customized with their Tribe details
Those interested in tuning in can see the Last Stand Bonus Round from 11 am to 3 pm PST on ARK: Survival Evolved’s official Twitch channel. The full official release of ARK: Survival Evolved is due out sometime next June. For more on ARK: Survival Evolved, check out our preview right here.
