We haven't seen Assassin's Creed III Remastered yet, but it looks like the game feature numerous visual improvements.

Ubisoft has updated their Assassin's Creed III Remastered support page to provide more details about the upcoming remaster. Outside the vague promises made in the Season Pass, little details concerning the remake have surfaced. The support page provides our best look at the remaster so far.

PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, and PC players can take advantage of the extra power in the machines to upscale the resolution to 4K. While not native 4K, the resolution bump will improve image quality and make the new high resolution textures pop. Base PS4 and Xbox One owners receive a native 1080p resolution. HDR is available for PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, PC, and base PS4 models.

In addition to the high resolution textures, Assassin's Creed III Remastered features new character models with increased detail. A new lighting rendering system enables physically based rendering. The extra CPU power on this-generation of consoles enables denser crowds, environments, and visual effects.

Outside of graphical improvements, Ubisoft are tweaking the gameplay experience. Though no specific examples were given, gameplay features have been improved with several features being revamped or tweaked.

Assassin's Creed III Remastered is available March 2019 for those who own the Assassin's Creed Odyssey Season Pass. It is unknown when a standalone version will launch.
