Earlier this year, Namco Bandai Games changed its name to “Bandai Namco Games.” It was a sad day for those who fondly associate the “Namco” brand with classic series like Pac-Man and Ridge Racer, Soulcalibur and of course Namco Museum, but understandable as the “Bandai” side of the merger had certainly grown more recognizable abroad and arguably even in the United States. Less than a year later, however, the company is already going through another name change announcing they are changing their name from “Bandai Namco Games” to “Bandai Namco Entertainment.”

A slight change, but one that has large implications as the company is clearly trying to expand past focusing on the video game industry.
