After some cryptic tweets signaling a potential reboot of the project, the Mingy Jongo project (a spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie) is no more, but in its place stands a newer, stronger figure.

The Twitter account of Mingy Jongo has been replaced by that of Playtonic Games, the new studio that was behind the original project. The indie studio is composed of veterans of developer Rare Ltd., the minds behind games like Donkey Kong Country and Banjo-Kazooie, and aims to bring "the video game stars of the future that are inspired by [their] past."

Though Playtonic's new game has yet to be revealed, the company's Twitter teases a reveal in EDGE on February 12, standing by the original hexadecimal tweet from the Mingy Jongo account, though this could simply be the street date for the magazine. The game is also supposedly coming to Steam Early Access, but Playtonic are actively interested in bringing the game to Wii U, though other systems are not out of the question.
