Today also marks Batman: The Telltale Series’ retail release in North America.

The physical version of the episodic title, available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, comes in the form of a Season Pass Disc, allowing players immediate access to the first episode, Realm of Shadows, and the ability to subsequently download the other four episodes when they are released.

Developer Telltale Games has Batman: The Telltale Series' European retail launch still slated for this Friday, September 16.

"Since premiering Batman: The Telltale Series last month, we've been thrilled by the reception from both Batman fans new to Telltale and those already familiar with our model for interactive storytelling," says Kevin Bruner, CEO and co-founder of Telltale Games.

"This week, we're happy to offer the game on a special disc at retailers worldwide, just in time for the gripping second episode launching September 20, which will influence the course of the season depending on the different paths players may take."

Recently, Telltale released the second episode of Batman: Unmasked, the studio’s online talk show for its episodic Batman series.

Starring Tales from the Borderlands duo Troy Baker and Laura Bailey, Batman Episode 2: Children of Arkham is scheduled to launch worldwide on September 20 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
