Batman: Return to Arkham Delayed to an Unknown Date

Delays are something the video game industry has struggled with over and over again, but more specifically over the last few years it has heightened. Many developers are unable to meet their set deadlines, and while it may be a disappointment to fans, it ultimately (or at least should) mean the experience is more polished and fleshed out.

You rarely see delays in the sub-genre of remasters as they are already established pieces of software that simply needs to be optimized for newer hardware, or slightly upgraded to match current-generation technology. Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean they’re immune to running into problems and that’s what Warner Bros. Interactive is currently dealing with.

Batman: Return to Arkham was scheduled to be released in a month’s time, but that is no longer the case. Warner Bros. Interactive’s Steve Grayson has confirmed on their official forums that the two games being remastered by Virtuous Games, best known for their work on Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster and the PS4 port of Heavy Rain, needs “additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience.”

Unfortunately, no new release date has been given.
