Dice has released the first gameplay trailer for Battlefield 1, and it is quite the tease.

Fans hoping to see in-game footage of Battlefield 1 are in luck. Dice has released a very short teaser ahead of the June 12 reveal. The game footage is "representative of Xbox One."

Dice also released some brand new details about the game's weaponry. There will be six ranged weapons classes with Dice promising a ton of variety. You have shotguns, SMGs, LMGs, Semi Autos, Sidearms, and Sniper Rifles to choose from. Battlefield 1's customization will also be very different to Battlefield 4. Whereas Battlefield 4 gave users numerous attachments for guns, Battlefield 1 will assign each weapon up to three pre-set loadouts. This was likely done to make the process of selecting weapons less daunting.

Melee combat was an important part of World War I, and Dice are giving players a wide variety of melee weapons to play with. Each weapon will have a unique attack speed and damage output and will even double as tools. Melee weapons aren't just good for clubbing enemies in the head, but are also quite good at cutting barbed wire, destroying barricades, and even damaging light vehicles.

Battlefield 1 is out October 21, or October 18 if you purchase the $80 Early Enlister Edition, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. EA will hold their E3 2016 press conference on June 12, 1pm PST, which is when we're likely to get the full gameplay reveal.
