It's a popular trend in the gaming industry. Dying Light, Batman: Arkham Knight and now Battlefield: Hardline have all delayed their release until 2015, reportedly to ensure a better experience for the gamer. Battlefield announced on their blog Tuesday that they "would need more time. Time that we didn’t have if we decided to move forward with launching in just a couple of months."

EA hopes to bring three things to Battlefield: Hardline with the extra time: Multiplayer innovation, single-player depth and successful optimization to ensure a stable launch. EA did not announce whether they are sticking with the plan to enter into the all-platform beta they earlier announced.
