Forza Horizon 3: Blizzard Mountain will take players into the snow and ice for the first time in franchise history.

Forza has always thrown extreme weather at players and tasked them with powering through it. However, that weather has never been snow and ice. For the first time in the Forza series, players will be able to drive in snow, ice, and extreme elevations. The Blizzard Mountain Expansion for Forza Horizon 3 gives players all this and so much more when it launches December 13.

Blizzard Mountain brings with new campaign challenges that gives players the ultimate goal of becoming King of the Mountain. There are 50 new events and challenges that will pit players against the icy environment. In addition, players will get to test out three new race types, Hill Climb, Descent, and Blizzard. Finally, there are 28 new Xbox Live Achievements worth 500 Gamerscore points.

Then there's the new Alpine Playground. Players will have an all new open environment to explore. New areas include the extreme sports snow park and a massive frozen lake. Those who like to explore will find bonus boards to smash, beauty spots to gawk at, and a brand new hidden Barn Find vehicle.

Finally, Blizzard Mountain comes with seven brand new vehicles:

  • 2016 Ford GYMKHANA 9 Focus RS RX
  • 1965 Ford F-100 Flareside Abatti Racing Trophy Truck
  • 1975 Lancia Stratos HF Group 4
  • 1985 Lancia Delta S4 Group B
  • 2016 Nissan Titan Warrior Concept
  • 2016 RJ Anderson #37 Polaris RZR-Rockstar Energy Pro 2 Truck
  • 2016 Subaru #199 WRX STI VT15r Rally Car

Forza Horizon 3: Blizzard Mountain is out December 13 as a standalone download or as art of the $34.99 Expansion Pass. For some reason, the $100 Ultimate Edition does not include the Expansion Pass, but Ultimate Edition owners will get a $10 discount on the Expansion Pass if purchased before the end of 2016.
