Bethesda Softworks today announced they've delayed their two major 2022 projects to 2023.

Starfield and Redfall were supposed to release this year, but we had yet to see any gameplay or in-game look at either title. So, it wasn't too surprising that Bethesda Softworks today announced that both titles have slipped into the first half of 2023.

Bethesda Softworks made the announcement via Twitter. Stating that both titles need more time, the publisher confirmed the delay while promising that we'll see both games soon. That 'soon' might be the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase on June 12.

Starfield was scheduled to launch November 11, 2022, and Redfall this summer. However, no in-game footage or gameplay had yet been shown for either title. In Redfall's case, the lack of any materials coupled with a summer launch foreshadowed a delay. Both titles join a growing list of 2022 titles that have slipped to 2023. These include the Untitled The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sequel and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

Starfield and Redfall launch in the first half of 2023 on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
