Stylized under the tagline Detective Crime Thriller (and not Tactical Detective Operations, as my brain instinctively led me to believe), publisher Bigben Interactive — together with developer Frogwares — have today announced a brand new Sherlock Holmes game to be released for this current generation of consoles. Sub-titled The Devil’s Daughter, the latest in the World-renowned detective/mystery series is described as free-roaming — featuring taut action and investigative work.
Aiming to uniquely blend a range of game mechanics, players navigate an expansive landscape of playable terrain that is Victorian London — the game’s setting — to solve the five main cases which, as the publisher claims, ‘will push your abilities to the limit in a one-of-a-kind interactive experience’. Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter is scheduled for Spring 2016 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. More details on the game are to be revealed at next week’s Paris Games Week which takes place starting October 28.
