Feral Interactive announced on Wednesday that one of BioShock 2’s DLC expansions, Minerva's Den, has finally been released for Mac.

While it has been three years since BioShock 2 launched on Mac -- and five years since its release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC -- Feral Interactive has confirmed Minerva's Den is now available through BioShock 2 as an in-app purchase on the Mac App Store.

Minerva's Den, a single-player story add-on, was released in 2010 for PS3 and Xbox 360, with the DLC eventually making its way to PC in 2011.

“Explore Rapture's enigmatic technology centre, Minerva's Den, in an adventure that takes you to the core of The Thinker, the supercomputer that controls every system in the city,” the synopsis for Minerva's Den reads. “Unravel the mysterious past of its inventor and the tragic secrets concealed by the all-knowing machine he created.”

Recently, a rumour surfaced about the possibility of a ‘BioShock Collection’ being released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which would presumably consist of all three BioShock titles -- BioShock, BioShock 2 and BioShock Infinite -- and all of the DLC expansions.
