N7 Day has come and gone for another year, but not without Bioware talking about the many aspects of the beloved Mass Effect franchise. While not yet announced, and only hinted at by Bioware General Manager Aaryn Flynn, a remake of the original trilogy could be coming to current-gen consoles. While doing what was probably a purely exploratory gathering of what fans would want if they did do a remake of the trilogy, Flynn mentioned the following upgrades for the games.

"The thing I'd love to hear from people is what you'd like to have in such an experience. For me (personal opinion, and based on what people have told me many times before):

  • 1080p
  • 60 fps
  • High res textures, especially on ME1
  • Some shader improvements commensurate with newer GPUs
  • All the DLC
  • "Seamless experience" - the adventures flow into each other without having to go back to save import, menu screens, etc.

Agree / disagree? What else? Bear in mind this is a "wish list" at this point..."

Naturally, this line of questioning has gotten people talking, so the question to answer in the comments below is this: What would you like to see if Bioware remade the Mass Effect trilogy? As much as I loved the series as a whole, the one thing that could push me to re-purchase it for the PS4 or Xbox One would be the one thing that was missing in the first place: a satisfying ending.
