Daum Games' highly anticipated new MMORPG Black Desert Online has begun its second closed beta in preparation for its official launch next month on March 3.  The closed beta lasts until February 22 and is automatically open for players who pre-ordered the Explorer's or Conqueror's package. Black Desert Online is a "pay to play" MMO. It has been live in Korea for a year. Gamers who pre-ordered Black Desert Online may also reserve their names and use the free character creation tool through Febraury 22.

A new opening cinematic, with narration by "YouTube star" Tay Zonday has also been released. The cinematic fills in a little of the lore and backstory that precedes the player entering the world. Daum Games has also announced the return of special in-game events during the Beta test, including special fishing challenges and a triathlon challenge.
