The single most infuriating aspect of the constant Mighty No. 9 delays is that all of them are allegedly a result of multiplayer. Considering no one in their right mind has ever played a Mega Man game seeking a multiplayer experience, there are thousands of gamers who wish that Inafune and company would simply release the single player campaign and patch multiplayer in later. According to a development update revealed through its forums, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will have a staggered release, similar to that of Shovel Knight.

The highly anticipated spiritual successor to the 2D Castlevania titles from Koji Igarashi is set to launch its core campaign the moment that its content complete, with later updates providing additional content. Considering that Comcept's refusal to do this has resulted in extreme negative press and a general malaise, it makes sense that Igarashi would want to avoid this type of situation at all cost.

We still don't have a launch date for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night outside of a Mach 2017 window, where it's currently set to release on  PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, Vita and PC.
