The Trails of Cold Steel saga will soon pick up again with the release of Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III in October. This latest entry in the story sees Rean Schwarzer, once hailed as a hero, return to instruct and lead his own class of talented misfits through the trials ahead. He cannot afford to fail in his efforts either, as the only people the members of Class Seven can truly count on are each other.

In Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III, social bonds appear to be at the core of both the story and the combat. As seen in the trailer above, the story focuses heavily on Rean and the relationship he develops with his class. This also appears to carry over into the combat too in the form of powerful “link attacks.” So, players will definitely want to get on their class’ good-side, the survival of Class Seven might just depend on it.

Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III will launch on October 22 for PlayStation 4. There is both a standard and a deluxe edition available for those who prefer to pre-order their games.
