Taking a page from Steam’s playbook, Gearbox and Microsoft have teamed up to offer Xbox fans the chance to check out Borderlands: The Handsome Collection for no cost.

The collection, which contains both Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, plus all their available DLC options, is currently available to all Xbox One owners, with the deal lasting until Sunday at midnight PST. During this period, interested players will be able to purchase the game at 60% off, and be able to continue their progress without any interruption. This limited offer also coincides with Xbox’s Multiplayer All-Access Event, which grants multiplayer access to all Xbox 360 and One owners, allowing any Xbox Live member to hop online and play not only Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, but any multiplayer game they currently have for free.

While Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is only available on PS4 and Xbox One, the individual versions of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel are also available on PC, Xbox 360, and PS3, as well as a Vita version for Borderlands 2. While waiting for these two massive games to download, make sure to check out Hardcore Gamer’s review of the collection, which questions its necessity but praises it nonetheless for its huge amount of content and solid gameplay.
