Brian Woodhouse, the former studio director of Project Gotham Racing developer Bizarre Creations, has now taken up the position of head of business development at the British-based Lucid Games.

According to Lucid Games’ press release, Woodhouse will be instrumental in helping “the company through an exciting phase of growth.”

“At Lucid we've worked on some exciting projects over the last 12 months,” the studio said. “In order to maintain the great relationships we already have, and also to take on further high-quality projects, we are looking to grow our team of developers in Liverpool and are excited to be working with Brian again to help achieve this.”

Woodhouse, who has over twenty years of experience in the gaming industry, achieved significant success during his tenure at Bizarre Creations, taking the developer from being a forty-person team in 2001 to a 200-strong studio by the time that publisher Activision acquired it in 2007.

Established in 2011 following Activision’s closure of Bizarre Creations, Lucid Games is based in Liverpool, England, and was formed by former high-ranking developers from Bizarre Creations.

Lucid Games has developed titles such as Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions and 2K Drive, as well as publishing two of its own projects: Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery and Pixel Smash: Christmas Edition.

The studio’s latest work was on Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, which it ported to Android, Fire OS and iOS devices in 2015.
