More than a decade since it peaked at the top of the UK charts with, fittingly, its original incarnation, Burnout Paradise: Remastered has managed to enter at the top of the charts at the first time of asking. It follows on from the likes of Burnout 3: Takedown -- the most commercially-successful entry, both on first week and cumulative sales -- as well as its follow-up, Burnout Revenge, to claim number one spot.

But perhaps the most surprising news to come out of all of this is the fact Kirby has had his best first week of any release in the pink puffball's history thus far. The recently-released Kirby: Star Allies managed to enter the charts in second place which sees it outperform its previous peak of number fifteen by both Kirby Triple Deluxe and Kirby: Planet Robobot for the 3DS in 2014 and 2016 respectively. While there may not have been much by way of new competition, needless to say it looks like some of that [there] Switch momentum is rubbing off, even on someone like Kirby.
