In much the same vain as Activision's other first-person shooter series, Destiny, Call of Duty is ditching Steam for its PC release this time round, instead releasing on Blizzard's own Battle.net platform. Beenox, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Activision, have been confirmed as assisting with porting the game onto the platform.

As well as all the usual bells and whistles that come with PC iterations -- such as additional video and graphic settings -- as well as social features integrated into Battle.net itself, Black Ops 4 will also support 4K resolution and high-dynamic range output. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 launches October 12.
